Tasks and responsibilities |
- Responsible for acquiring new instrument placements, contract renewals,
and increase utilization of the installed products.
- Identify areas of opportunity for gaining new accounts and increasing existing accounts from
competition culminating in the creation/execution of customer acquisition plans.
- Develop account-based territory management plans and prepare monthly sales reports and
documents with market insights as required
- Manage accurate and up to date sales data and customer list information by product and prepare
- Build and Manage relationships with distributors and executing to a high degree of performance in
achieving their business objectives.
- Develop and direct manage key opinion leaders and heavy users to accelerate the business
- Identify a strong funnel of growth potential opportunities and funnel management throughout
the full sales cycle.
- Lead implementation of promotional activities including national, regional academia,
field marketing programs, single/multi-center seminars. Schedules appointments and makes sales
presentations to customers. Coordinates Professional Education activities to enhance the knowledge
of Healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply/distribution, tech service teams as needed to deliver customer
satisfaction, resolve any issues, and build long-term partnership with customers.
- Comply with Abbott Corporate Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures. Ensure all commercial
activities are conducted professionally, aligned with local regulatory and industry guidelines and
are conducted in a manner consistent with Abbott Corporate Code of Conduct. |

- More than 3 year experiences in sales in the areas of pharmaceutical, medical device,
diagnostics industries with proven record on achievements
- Experience in developing territory management plans, tracking sales performance against plans and
reporting to leadership members.
- Proficiency in value-based, patient-centric selling skills and customer communications.
- Experience in identifying and building relationships with key opinion leaders, non-HCP stakeholders,
and (regional) academic societies.
- Experience in managing, driving, and negotiating distributors or alliance partners.
- Proficiency in sales and customer database management
- As a team players, proactive in carrying out tasks, reporting to managers, and communicating with
Seoul office stakeholders.
- Experience in diabetes, cardiovascular business in the clinic market being a plus
- Must be able to travel to and spend 30% of FTE in Daegu province.
- Must be able to travel to Seoul bi-weekly

Partnership development
ㆍScreen and attract qualified alliance partners to collaborate with, understand alliance partner needs
and partnering drivers and assess partnership fit.
ㆍDevelop timely and profitable joint business proposals, value proposition and legal contracts,
and gain commitment from stakeholders.
ㆍManage alliance governance though executive contact facilitation, results and operations reviews,
and frequent communication between the parties.
ㆍCoordinate briefings, joint market-facing and other contact acquisition activities with partners and
prepares required materials.
ㆍGathers customer references, testimonials and case studies specific by partner
ㆍAttend and network with potential partners at the national/regional meetings and tradeshows.
- New Business development
ㆍProactively identify, propose, and plan projects to explore new business opportunities/
models including new product introductions, partnership development, operation changes,
or resource planning.
ㆍDevelop business case for new product introduction utilizing financial model including NPV,
cash flow, and risk assessment.

- Build strong consultative relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders

- 3+ years of relevant experience in managing external business relationships with either partners/
alliances in the healthcare industry.
- Experiences in partnership negotiation and contracting
- Experiences in business development, portfolio management, and marketing
- Good understanding of P&L structure and modeling.
- Full proficiency in analytics and data management
- Full proficiency in English verbal and written
- Good skills of presenting and articulating communications strategy, including goals,
expected outcomes, and how success is measured
