[Mercedes-Benz Korea] Development Engineer for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Job Description:

- Mercedes-Benz Research& Development Korea is looking for an outstanding engineer who is passionate about shaping the future of mobility.

 - You will be responsible for the development of our next generation advanced driver assistance systems in Korea. This also includes the preparation for future autonomous driving.

 - You will be responsible for the development and validation of a wide range of advanced driver assistance systems in Korea. Through extensive test and validation activities (incl. pre-analysis of the test results) you will ensure an unprecedented maturity level of our advanced driver assistance systems before the market release.

 - You will be working closely with our internal and external development partners - both locally and globally - with a focus on excellent products which meet the targets in quality and time.

 - You will also be involved in further improving our advanced driver assistance systems by contributing to system specifications with consideration of local road and driving conditions, local customer needs and regulatory requirements.

 - To always stay ahead of competition, you will be closely monitoring related market trends, new technologies and innovation in the area of advanced driver assistance systems, autonomous driving and beyond.

Job Requirements:

Education

 - Academic degree in software engineering, computer science/engineering or a relevant discipline (GPA is above average)

 - Master’s degree or Ph.D preferred

 Technical qualifications

 - 5+ years of experience in the development of advanced driver assistance systems or comparable field of technology.

 - Proficient knowledge about existing driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, automated lane changing.

 - System-oriented understanding of relevant sensors such as radar, camera, ultrasonic, and Lidar, including principal algorithms, target identification, environmental synthesis and sensor fusion.

 - Knowledge of vehicle networking architecture (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, etc.)

 Personal competencies

 - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

 - High level of self-initiative and proactive attitude

 - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, systematically diagnose problems and justify technical decisions

 - Team player with very good networking abilities.

 - Experience in multi-cultural working environment.

 - Language skills in Business English - fluent in written and spoken.

 - Korean driver license (eligible for an internal driver license) for passenger cars is a must.

 - Willingness to travel.
