At IBM, Brand Technical Specialists work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You’ll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes. |
Your Role and Responsibilities : |
- Influences the clients’ technology strategy and recommends solutions that bring maximum value of IBM combined products.
- Works closely in collaboration with the Account Technical Sales, other brand sales peers from other Business Units and ancillary organizations in the development of winning client solutions.
- Leverages demand generation activities and accelerators to progress opportunities through hands-on experiential selling.
- Commitment on individual revenue target on assigned clients and industries as well as responsible for generating cross brand selling in owned territories
- Opens the door for cross brand selling through team account planning and solution design.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise : |
- Knowledge and experience in hardware business through direct client engagement
- Business Development – Ability to identify, create and progress new opportunities teaming with cross brand peers in other Business Units to pinpoint cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- Ability to use internal resources, partners, and team members to be successful in managing complex business opportunities.
- Ability to develop business proposal and approach with new strategy to clients who are not willing to open door for IBM Power.
- An ‘in the field’ mentality’ with readiness to meet customers & prospects face to face wherever possible
- 5+ years of experience in direct sales (specially in retail, distribution, and banking) are preferred. (Not mandatory)
- Fluent English skill will be preferred.
