If you are up for the challenge of developing

this is the graduate program for you!
During
15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate
Program will give you a
holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the
local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of
tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected and
automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team
development sessions.
You
will have a permanent position from day one, with
a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and
international on the job-rotations and work on business critical projects
developing your competencies
for tomorrow. You will
take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as
manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while
also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our
remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program
participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow
into your future career at the Volvo Group. We offer the opportunity for you to
be part of our digital transformation, applying new technologies to connect and
automate our processes. Together we work with AI, data science, machine
learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our full
electric or autonomous products.

This role is centered
around leveraging an understanding of the excavator business to explore and
apply Industry 4.0 technologies for manufacturing process to enhance the
long-term competitiveness of production. By applying these technologies to the
production site, it contributes to the sustainable growth of the Changwon
factory. The main responsibility is applying digital technology in
manufacturing and engineering process through the cross functional
collaboration. It include benchmarking and basic study of un-used technology as
a part of exploration activity.
Additionally, the role
involves disseminating the knowledge accumulated during the process of applying
technology, encouraging its spread throughout the production site, and
supporting colleagues.
For these activities,
a keen interest in new technologies and a proactive attitude are important,
along with a challenging mindset. Collaboration with diverse individuals, an
open-minded approach, and communication skills can be developed through the job
implementation. This position gives good opportunity to develop practical leadership
skills by doing continuous project collaborations.
Who are you?
You enjoy collaborating with people and can
effectively communicate. You approach work with a curiosity for new things,
engaging in challenging activities without hesitation, seeking progress. You
have understanding about industry 4.0 and basic knowledges in data analysis,
IoT, AI/ML technology. You don’t need to be an expert from the beginning but
can develop yourself on those technology area through the project task. You should
aim to become a leader who can improve manufacturing business based on the activities
introducing applied technology rather than a solution developer.
In this role, you aspire to learn leadership
skills necessary for project leading and collaborative methods. You also aim to
familiarize yourself with software and hardware usage related to key technical
elements. Given the broad scope of technological application activities in
excavator manufacturing, you anticipate understanding the characteristics of
various departmental tasks. This will enable you to play a crucial role in the
convergence of IT and production by grasping the elements necessary for the
connection between these two areas across all aspects of excavator
manufacturing.
Required knowledge/experience
·
A BSc or MSc
in mechanical, electric or
electronic, computer, industrial engineering completed prior to the start of the program.
·
After
graduation, experience is limited to a maximum of two years or none
·
In this truly
global program, communication will be in English, hence you need to be fluent
in both speaking and writing in English.
(in case of
forigners, basic level of Korean speaking and listening is required)
·
Valid work
permit for the applied country if not a citizen.
