Part time PE Teacher in Secondary

The hours are M/W 8:00 to 10:30 and T/TH 13:00 to 15:20.
Work dates: ASAP to 5 July 2024 (possibility to extend, increase hours for the right candidate)
Student ages are 11 to 18.

Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons in accordance with the UK National Curriculum, focusing on developing students' physical skills, fitness levels, and knowledge of sports and activities.
Design and implement a varied and progressive curriculum that caters to the diverse needs and abilities of students, incorporating a range of sports, games, and fitness activities.
Create a positive and supportive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to participate and strive for personal improvement, regardless of their level of athletic ability.
Assess student progress and attainment in PE through assessments and observations, providing constructive feedback and support for their development.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular links and integrate PE with other subjects, such as science (e.g., anatomy and physiology) and mathematics (e.g., data analysis in sports).
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, communicating regularly and proactively to support students' overall well-being and academic success.

Qualifications:
English speaking ability
Experience teaching PE at the secondary level
Understanding of the UK National Curriculum for PE - preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students to participate in physical activity and adopt healthy lifestyles.
Knowledge of a wide range of sports and activities, as well as principles of fitness training, injury prevention, and sports psychology.
