COMPANY INTRODCUTION

Cumulative sales exceeded 10 million units in 2023, solidifying its position as the No. 1 bidet brand, and Kohler novita has been consistently recognized by consumers for its technology and quality by winning the Korea First Brand Award consecutively since 2006.
Currently, Kohler novita continues to develop Korea's first and best technologies that allow users to use bidets more hygienically and conveniently, such as 3-step automatic sterilization, rotating nozzle with mist cleaning and air mist cleaning, 3D move wash, and body composition measurement. and is leading the bidet market.


BASIC FUNCTION

The industrial design position is responsible in providing concepts, experience, and service through research, creative analysis, conceptual work, physical model work related Novita new product development.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementation of all industrial design tasks including new product development work through deriving new product design concepts.
∙ Conduct consumer market research to provide design trends and user needs in domestic and/or overseas market.
∙ UX design for bidets and new category products from a user perspective.
∙ Design development and management of running change models for each sales channel.
∙ Design management for Novita's existing developed products.
∙ Establish Novita design strategy.


Main Task

∙ Conducting new bidet product design work through analysis of the company's existing product design and market research.
∙ Consumer UX testing for newly developed technologies through R&D and collaboration
∙ New running change model inlay design for each sales channel.
∙ Conduct material and color review at the product manufacturing stage.
∙ Implement global market research work to identify new consumer needs.
∙ Develop new product design through collaboration with product planning and new product development teams.


RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

∙ Report to Director – Marketing, KOHLER Novita
∙ Works alongside Product planning, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, and Manufacturing in a team environment.
∙ Occasionally work with industrial designers in K&B APAC and North American team.
∙ External contacts: distributors, agencies, vendors, design firms, and developers.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

∙ University graduate in related to industrial design.
∙ With a minimum of 5~7 years solid experience in industrial design.
∙ Solid knowledge in production and manufacturing process.
∙ With experience in ergonomics and mechanical design (3D CAD).
∙ UI & UX design work experience required.
∙ Collaborating experience in work with outside design agencies and OEM Customers.
∙ Excellent communication skills to work with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
∙ Excellent command of written and spoken English
∙ Adaptable, initiative and able to meet deadline in a tight schedule with minimal supervision
∙ A team player and with good organization skills
∙ Willing to travel when required by business
