(Temporary) Upper School(Middle and High School) Administrative Officer
Dwight Seoul seeks a temporary full time Upper School Administrative Officer to support administrative duties in our upper school division starting August 2024. This one year temporary position is to cover maternity leave from August 2024 to July 2025.
Ideally, we are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent English and Korean language communication skills. The candidate should have a positive attitude with interest in working with foreign and Korean staff. The ideal candidate should be able to assist the school management, manage office tasks, and communicate professionally with the school stakeholders including parents, staff and outside organizations.
Most importantly, the ideal candidate should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others. Previous work experience in an international school environment is preferred.
Responsibilities:
● Handling office tasks, generating reports and presentations, scheduling meetings, transcribing meeting minutes and reordering supplies
● Checking daily teacher attendance and coordinating cover/sub teachers
● Supporting in translation for Korean parents and English-speaking faculty
● Maintain professional communication in English and/or Korean via face-to-face contact, phone, and e-mail
● Correspond properly to the school stakeholders including parents, students, staff and external parties
● Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily administrative operations of the upper school, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and parents to support the academic programs.
Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, as well as local government
Manage student attendance and disciplinary matters with confidentiality and integrity.
Coordinate and support special events, meetings, and school-wide activities.
Act as a liaison between the upper school and other departments within the institution.
Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Facilitate communication with non-English speaking students and families by providing translation and support as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft office softwares
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups of people
International/Independent school experience preferred
