Gyeonggi Suwon International School is seeking a qualified candidate to work as a PYP Classroom teacher(Long-term Sub for maternity leave) to support and implement a quality Christian, International Baccalaureate program in secondary division, fostering inquiry-based methods and a love for learning.

• Demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy

• Differentiate to meet the social, emotional, academic and spiritual needs of diverse learners

• Use available resources to design coherent learning opportunities along with authentic assessment of learning

Classroom Environment

• Create an environment of respect and rapport 

• Manage classroom to create a strong culture of learning

• Arrange spaces and resources to provide optimal accessibility

Instruction

• Communication of learning expectations and instructions

• Use of questioning and discussion techniques which inspire student inquiry

• Engage students in learning with intentional design of activities, assignments, small learning groups, and pacing

• Use of authentic assessment to constantly monitor student learning and progress

• Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to student learning needs

Professional 

• Reflective about the craft of teaching and commitment to continued professional growth

• Effective communication of student progress to families

• Positive and productive participation within the GSIS community of learners, colleagues, and families.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts or equivalent required

• Teaching Credential to work with elementary grades K-5 required

• At least three years of successful teaching experience

• International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programe experience preferred

• Post-graduate degree in education preferred
