Jason Haam is a contemporary art gallery, located in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul, Korea. Founded with uncompromising ethos for quality, the gallery is dedicated to showing works that are original, genuine, and representative of their time. Jason Haam has exhibited a wide-ranging group of contemporary artists across borders and generations. The gallery has successfully introduced works by internationally acclaimed artists, such as Urs Fischer, Jonathan Gardner, and Sarah Lucas, among others, in Korea for the first time and promoted emerging talents like Jungwook Kim and Moka Lee to the global audience through prestigious international art fairs, such as Frieze and Art Basel. As the gallery marks its seventh year, Jason Haam is planned to undergo expansion to an adjoining building next door. The new space will serve as an ambitious exhibition space for the gallery artists and provide a new and engaging platform to the Korean contemporary art scene.

About the Job:
Jason Haam is looking for an intelligent, well-organized, and collaborative individual to join our team as a Gallery Manager. The ideal candidate will be passionate about contemporary art, with a strong interest in administration and operations. A meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a consistent commitment to excellence are essential.
Reporting directly to the owner, the Gallery Manager will be responsible for a variety of critical functions, including but not limited to: maintaining the daily operations of the office and exhibition spaces, overseeing operational costs and expenditures, assisting with logistics and inventory management, communicating with collectors, shippers, and framers, archiving artwork and exhibition images, and ensuring that staff, clients, and visitors have a pleasant and streamlined experience with the gallery.

갤러리 매니저는 갤러리 대표에게 직접 보고하며, 사무실 및 전시 공간의 일상적인 운영 유지, 운영 비용 및 지출 감독, 물류 및 재고 관리 지원, 컬렉터, 운송업체 및 액자 업체와의 소통, 작품 및 전시 이미지 아카이빙, 그리고 직원, 고객, 방문객이 갤러리에서 쾌적하고 원활한 경험을 할 수 있도록 지원하는 등 다양한 중요한 역할을 맡게 됩니다.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the gallery property is always clean, presentable, and functional.
2. Oversee general office operations, including stationery and pantry supplies; systemize and streamline processes as needed.
3. Collaborate closely with shippers and art handlers to ensure that artworks are handled, stored, and displayed appropriately.
4. Monitor and report operational costs and expenditures.
5. Manage and maintain an up-to-date inventory database.
6. Oversee the image database, ensuring all artwork and exhibition images are accurately archived.
7. Keep consignment agreements up-to-date and archive documents accordingly.

주요 업무:
1. 갤러리의 청결 상태, 기능 유지.
2.. 사무실 운영, 문구류 및 식료품 공급 및 감독; 필요 시 시스템 및 프로세스 정리.
3. 운송업체 및 작품 핸들러와 긴밀히 협력하여 작품이 적절하게 취급, 보관, 전시되도록 함.
4. 운영 비용 및 지출 관리 및 보고.
5. 최신 재고 데이터베이스 관리.
6. 이미지 데이터베이스 관리 (작품 및 전시 이미지 아카이빙).
7. 위탁 계약서를 최신 상태로 유지하고 해당 문서 아카이빙.

What We Are Looking For:
1. Experience: 3-5 years of related experience in gallery management or a similar field. (not a must)
2. Personality: A personable, customer-focused, problem-solving demeanor.
3. Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of efficiency.
4. Competencies: Demonstrated organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
