We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Head of Compliance to join our leadership team. As a footwear Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operating multiple factories in Indonesia, we require a professional who can ensure that all our operations comply with internal standards and external regulations. The Head of Compliance will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing our compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of ethical business practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
• Oversee and monitor the compliance program across all three factories, ensuring consistent application and enforcement.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of integrity and ethical behavior.
• Investigate compliance violations and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continually enhance the compliance program.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors.
• Collaborate with various departments, including HR, Legal, and Operations, to ensure integrated compliance efforts.
• Manage and mentor the compliance team, providing leadership and support to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications
- Education
o A bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
o Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) or professional certifications (e.g., CCEP, CFE) are highly desirable.
- Professional Experience
o A minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
o Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in footwear or apparel, is highly preferred.
o Familiarity with international trade compliance and export regulations is an advantage.
- Skills
o In-depth knowledge of compliance principles, laws, and regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry.
o Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and guide employees.
o Proven ability to lead and manage a compliance team.
o Strong ethical judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
o Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
