Responsibilities include:
Collaboratively develop and execute the division’s and business unit’s growth plans for South Korea
Identify new markets for capabilities with the target customers and industry partners
Assess opportunities available within and beyond existing markets, offerings and business models and
qualify specific business growth opportunities
Develop and implement our South Korea-focused customer and industry partner engagement strategy to
increase success on these efforts
Support division and business unit priorities, pipeline coordination and lead determination efforts
Work with engineering & technology teams to identify developing target customer needs and create industry
disruptive innovations that help secure new and expanding markets
Build intimate relationships with senior strategic customers and decision makers, such as the Korean
Ministry of Defense, Defense Acquisition and Procurement Agency (DAPA), and Korean armed forces.
Scan the environment for business opportunities, maintain surveillance over market, and work with the
strategy team to perform financial analysis supporting these growth efforts
Marshall business unit and division resources to capture and win qualified opportunities
Identify and qualify new pipeline opportunities.
Establish and strengthen partnerships with local industry entities to enable greater success with local
customers, additional business opportunities, and easier/more successful offset projects where required
Ability to leverage the cross-sector capabilities of the Northrop Grumman enterprise to provide the best
integrated solutions to meet South Korea’s military needs.
Essential Qualifications & Experience;
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, sciences or related field, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
Extensive government, military, and/or defense industry experience
Understanding of international customer requirements, budgeting, and acquisition process
Understanding of roles in requirements development and operational execution
Understanding of missions, concept of operations, and processes used to prioritize warfighting requirements
& build budgets
Ability to communicate easily and effectively with senior international customers and industry leadership and
operate effectively in the Asia-Pacific environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently, remotely, and with initiative
Demonstrated proficiency in all the following in U.S. Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) process and Foreign
Military Sales (FMS) process, as well as familiarity with the U.S. Embassy in Korea, Joint U.S. Military
Affairs Group – Korea (JUSMAG-K), Defense Attaché Office (DAO), and U.S. Department of State (DOS)
Commerce Division
Proven ability to identify, qualify and manage effective agents, representatives and consultants in each
target market that enable Northrop Grumman success.
Basic fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications & Experience;
Master’s degree in a technical, business, or related field
Proven experience operating in the business culture in South Korea and knowledge of relevant regulations
(Offsets, Labor Laws, and defense procurement regulations)
Understanding of South Korea’s IAMD modernization plans
Experience interfacing with the Korean Ministry of Defense and Republic of Korea Air Force
Proven experience in creating company procedures to align corporate requirements with local business
customs and legal environment in South Korea
