QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, Solid State Physics, or semiconductor related academic program

• More than 8 years of industry experience

o Specifically in Semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and/or integrated circuit design processes.

o Must have demonstration of design, modeling, and/or simulation tool usage as part of industry work experience.

• Intellectually inquisitive with creative problem-solving skills

• Persistence in tracking complex problems and projects with minimal oversight

• The ability to prioritize activities and deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Technical experience including

o Architecture and design standard cell libraries, including logic gates, flip-flops, latches, and other standard cell elements, targeting various process technologies and design requirements.

o Developing standard cell layouts using industry-standard CAD tools and design methodologies, ensuring optimal performance, power, and area characteristics.

o Perform characterization and characterization-based optimization of standard cells to meet timing, power, and area specifications across process corners and operating conditions.

o Collaborate closely with physical design engineers, CAD specialists, and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of standard cells into the design flow and silicon implementation.

o Proven experience in standard cell design, preferably in a semiconductor or IC design company.

• Specific Skills

o Proficiency in CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Design Compiler, and/or Mentor Graphics Calibre for standard cell design and characterization.

• Strong understanding of digital design principles, CMOS logic, and standard cell architecture.

• Experience with standard cell characterization techniques, including timing analysis, power analysis, and statistical analysis
