Job Title: Customer Solutions Engineer
Product Line / Department / Location: OMS ELA / Seoul, Korea
Reports to (Job Title): Product Manager (direct reporting) and Asia OPS VP Sales (matrix reporting)

[ General Job Function]
ELA will fund an individual contributor Sales support role- Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE) based in Asia. This incumbent will report into ELA, and take direction from the two Product Managers and have a matrix reporting line to Asia Sales VP. The CSE will support Asia Account teams in development of opportunities creation of capture plans. The key performance measurement for this role is the achievement of Sales objective (OE, MAS%) which will be set by ELA upon alignment with ASIA Sales VP and Asia Account team. Geographical coverage for this role includes China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and India (Tentative).
[Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority)]
1. Partnering with Asia Account Teams and Asia OPS VP Sales to identify customer needs and define technical requirements for applicable product areas and communicate them to the Product Lines.
2. Prioritize, define and implement product promotion and technical sales tactics for applicable product areas.
3. Closely interact and communicate with customers to ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by customers and stakeholders.
4. Utilizing the voice of customer data, customer technical requirements, and market intelligence, the position holder will work with product lines/segment leaders to enhance product offerings, recommend delivery improvements, and assess technical requirements for new product development concepts.
5. Support Account Team to development of opportunities creation of capture plans; and closely work with OMS Segment Leaders to establish the market price for applicable product areas.
6. Support offer development by providing product information (in collaboration with product lines), technical specifications that fulfill customers’ needs and recommending winning value propositions.
7. Develop and execute global market pull/product push tactics for applicable product areas.
8. Facilitate the Integrated Market Plan process (for assigned product areas) and drive implementation actions specific to applicable product areas for Asia.
9. Provide support and maintenance of D365 and Wave pipeline growth in the assigned territories.
[ Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies]
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees in engineering or related field.
Years of Experience (if applicable): At least 5 years of related experience in the Nuclear Industry, engineering or product
management and exposure to marketing principles and processes.
Professional Certifications: USA Licensed Professional Engineering certification is highly desirable
Skills and Competencies: Direct experiences in Nuclear Power Industry, product management, marketing, market research, and an in‐depth knowledge of selected products and services.
Proven abilities in data analytics to review and validate market and competitor research and recommend actions in response.
Consultative skills to support Account Team in business development and negotiation that leads to positive customer response, increased selling and orders entered.
Strong ability to interface with product line leaders, product line technical experts on new product development progress and delivery improvements.
Understanding of customer technical and operating requirements as defined in requests for quotation & ability to define best response in terms of product offerings, technical descriptions and specifications, most effective design, and pricing/cost structures.
Demonstrated abilities in offer development, pricing theory and definition of value proposition.
Ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from marketplace and competitive data and develop effective strategies, most effective technical solutions, and tactical approaches in response.
Customer communication skills emphasizing presentation effectiveness, technical knowledge of the products, negotiation, persuasion and diplomacy.
