Location/Division Specific Information
Within our Production Process & Analytics Business Unit we are looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Support Specialist, product line Gauging for Thickness and Basis Weight Measurement (Link: Gauging) with focus on Lithium-Ion Batteries applications and if required extending to other product lines and or applications.
How you will make an impact:
As Technical Support Specialist representative in this position, responsible for delivering and build service perfection over and above our customer expectations.
What you will do:
- Represents our company in a positive, professional manner in looking after Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
- Record and document customer issues using the SalesForce Case Management system.
- Deliver technical support and/or training to customers to help improve product user experience and drive Thermo Fisher customer experience scores.
- Provide Field Service support on a case-by-case basis and coordinated with the Field Service Team.
- Own product related cases and proactively provide solutions to customers.
- Drive continuous improvement using our Practical Process Improvement Business System.
How you will get here:
Education
Diploma or equivalent education preferable in electronic or electrical engineering.
Experience
- Electronic knowledge (such as PCB) in professional experience or academic experience is required. - industrial automation, electronic, electrical engineering, mechanic engineering
- SW knowledge is plus (Python, Matlab, C++, OPC, Wonderware)
- Analytical device related experience is plus - such as Web Gauge, Thickness Gauge, Analytical/process instrumentation, chemistry, pneumatics, mechanics, aviation and/or electronics
- Field service experience (technical) or strong service knowledge
- Preferable knowledge in Lithium Ion Batteries industrial process
- Outstanding solving skills passionate about electromechanical, software and application issues

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal communication both written and oral in English and preferable second language
- Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in difficult and stressful situations
- Customer friendliness and a professional demeanor
- PC literacy including MS Office 365.
- Ability to travel (both domestic and internationally) up to 15%
- Valid driver's license
