Job Description : Credit controller
Organizational Fit
Base: Korea / Function: Finance
Direct report to Head of Finance North Asia Cluster
To improve cash flow and prevent bad debt through stable AR collection, proper credit evaluation of customers, and giving appropriate credit limiting. If neccessary, legal actions will be enforced.
To prevent potential risks rising from transactions with cutomers / vendors, go through contract reviewing, checking potential risk elements and dealing with all legal issues in advance.
Key Accountabilities
• Assess credit status of new and existing customers regularly and update credit limit by customer accordingly.
• Contribute to Improve cash-flow by achieving targeted DSO(Daily Sales Outstanding) and minimize bad debt.
• Prevent the contractual and/or legal risks from transactions.
• Deal with the legal, credit and etc issues appropriately.
• Closely communicate with Sales employees and guide them to be well aware that keeping AR safe and secure AR to be cashed is critical.
• Implement service contract with 3rd party rating companies and receive regular information and early warning when customers’ credits are in trouble.
• Regularly communicate with global legal team over legal information and transplant all the necessary items into local
• Conduct research and develop new tools and process to set up stronger preventive measures to identify changes in customers’ financial status and insolvency to secure AR safely
• Implement new process to expedite lawsuit and compulsory execution against debtors.
Educational Background
• Bachelor’s Degree in law, Economics
Experiences/Requirements
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in law is prefered
• Knowledge in law enforcement.
• Strong level of financial acumen
• Good communication and negotiation Skills
• Highly adaptable to changes in business direction
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Proficient in English (Good to have)
