Region APC > Construction & Operations APAC > Installation & Commissioning Offshore
Develop, implement and handle a robust commissioning framework across people functions, to deliver and continuously improve the quality and cost effectiveness of services. Provide commissioning expertise and coordinates commissioning resources for the development of commissioning related deliverables, including participation in constructability, operability activities and engineering design reviews.
Responsibilities
ㆍReviews contractual documentation.
ㆍReviews engineering documents to ensure that the commissioning & startup requirements are accounted for in the design.
ㆍPrepares and keeps up to date the pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans (including the schedule and the mobilization of personnel and equipment).
ㆍElectrical, mechanical, and hydraulic work on WTG's.
ㆍOn-site supervision of new and less experienced supervisors and technicians.
ㆍImplement WTG completion and start-ups.
ㆍTroubleshoot, operate, and maintain WTG's.
ㆍIdentify, register, and handle deviations.
ㆍMaintenance of WTG's and equipment.
ㆍEnsure a safe work environment by acting in compliance with Vestas' HSE requirements.
Qualifications
ㆍBachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or Electro Technical Officer (ETO - STCW III/6) or Engineering Officer (STCW - III/2 or III/3)
ㆍMinimum 5 years Engineering experience or other related field on offshore industry including a minimum 3 years of experience in power electrical system.
ㆍProficiency in English (fluent - speaking and writing)
ㆍExperience in offshore industry projects site construction, with multinational team and subcontractor workforce.
ㆍExperience in design, commissioning andservice of power conversion systems.
ㆍGood inter-personal and communication skills, be numerate and literate. Good IT skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision is essential.
ㆍHigh degree of flexibility, highly motivated with the ability to work in a time-sensitive situation
ㆍExperience on tooling, suppliers, quality tool management.
ㆍKnowledge of operation of WTG systems such as Pitch system, Yaw system, cooling circuits, elevator, hydraulic systems.
ㆍProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
ㆍSelf-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented.
ㆍCapable of handling multiple tasks or assignments simultaneously and efficiently without direct supervision.
ㆍAbility to organize and coordinate cross functional teams required to work closely during a project's start-up, testing and commissioning phase.
ㆍAbility to establish and leverage relationships with key stakeholders to proactively initiate requests for support from targeted internal and external subject matter experts needed to address plant startup and commissioning requirements.
ㆍFrequent travel required (dependent upon project cycles and offshore rotation)
ㆍSystem understanding of: Safety and protection, High Voltage systems, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, WTG software and controller, WTG functions, Tools and Equipment
ㆍKnowledge of Safety and Protection System and identify main components and basic functions. Conversant on reviewing relevant basic safety documentation
ㆍKnowledge of High Voltage Systems and identify main components and basic functions i.e. Switch Gear, Transformer, Isolation relays, etc.
ㆍKnowledge of Main Component Systems and basic functions (Gearbox, Generator, Hydraulic Station, Cooling Systems, Lubrication Systems, etc.)
ㆍKnowledge of Hydraulic Systems and identify main components and basic functions (Hydraulic Pump and Pitch Cylinder)
ㆍKnowledge of Electrical Systems and identify main components and basic functions (Internal Power Supply Systems, Transformer, Circuit Breaker, etc.)
ㆍKnowledge of basic types of software used incl. basic knowledge of HMI use
ㆍKnowledge of basic turbine functions (Rotor Lock, Turner Gear Operations, Service Lift, Davit Crane, HMF and PCM Crane)
ㆍKnowledge of basic required tools and equipment for everyday use (Lifting Equipment, Torque Tools, Commissioning Tool Kits)
