[Cytiva Korea] Manufacturing Plant Director

The Manufacturing Plant Director for Cytiva is responsible for a new manufacturing site and the role is ideally suited to someone looking for the challenge of opening and starting up a new plant. This is someone with relevant experience of work transfers, line and site startups. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing our new manufacturing site, establishing the new team and a positive and successful workplace culture. This is someone who will work hand in hand with their global colleagues to ensure a successful transfer of production and processes from the pitching manufacturing plant.

The successful candidate will not be afraid of “rolling their sleeves up” in order to ensue we meet our “ Go Live” dates for manufacturing and must be comfortable working as part of a cross functional, multi-site international operations leadership team. A successful candidate will be a strong communicator and have a passion for process and continuous improvement using typical lean manufacturing standard improvement methods.

During the first year the chosen candidate can expect to travel internationally around 30% of the time as part of the team transferring the work with the travel reducing as the new plant becomes established

What you’ll do

• Drive operational excellence and performance improvement across the dimensions of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity through the Danaher Business System. (DBS)

• Prepare, implement and monitor a long-term business plan as part of the overall Global Operations plan for the substantial growth of profits.

• Achieve an annual site budget which aligns with Cytiva policies, guidelines and the Global Operations Plan.

• Implement a structure and policies which enable the site to align with all legal requirements.

• Lead and advise a management team to ensure the sites goals are achieved in accordance with the sites annual targets based on the overall manufacturing operations targets.

• Develop and coordinate local implementation of all Cytiva programs such as cost reduction, working capital optimisation, capital expenditure, sustainability, industrial hygiene, safety, and housekeeping programs at this expanding manufacturing site.

• Establish performance measurement metrics to continuously drive operations to a higher level of excellence.

Who you are

• BSc/MSc or equivalent, ideally in a Science, Engineering or Business discipline.

• 15+ years experience in site leadership or substantial functional leadership, ideally in a Life Sciences or similar industry with.

• Financial acuity associated with profit/loss responsibility.

• Demonstrable track record of developing team talent to drive business and career growth!

• Ability to think and operate strategically with strong influencing skills.

• Able to achieve performance objectives to meet customer, financial and team related targets.
