General Responsibilities To support teachers by helping to supervise activities in the classroom, working withpupils on an individual, small group or whole class basis across all our year groups(EYFS to J6) To support pupils across the curriculum and year groups, with a focus on maths,reading and writing To give extra support to pupils with special needs or those for whom English is nottheir first language To motivate and encourage pupils To participate on school events, trips and activities To co-operate with other members of staff team, sharing information, ideas andexpertise To attend relevant staff meetings which may, at times, be outside a normal school dayif given reasonable notice by the Head of the School To participate in the staff development programme and attend relevant INSET andother training days To assist with cover for absent colleagues as directed by the Year Head and the Headof the School To promote good relationships between staff and parents To establish and maintain a positive regard towards pupils To carry out duties including lunch time and break time duties To always follow safeguarding protocols
