Makerspace Technician 

Dwight School seeks a makerspace technology enthusiast who can manage and maintain the materials and equipment in a fully equipped Makerspace on his/her own starting immediately.

The ideal candidate has a knowledge of technology-enhanced learning and is willing to support teachers and students in the Makerspace having either worked in a large makerspace in education or comes from industry with an ability to manage and withstand the 4th industrial revolution where technology and design entrepreneurs plan, create, patent, market and sell. Bilingual in English and Korean with an understanding of an international education environment preferred but not required.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

- Interested in guiding technology whole school 

- Highly focused on safety

- Knowledgeable about linking technology skills to makerspace philosophies where electronics, robotics, design and STEAM converge

- Competent user of design software & hardware and design materials including Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, 3D printers, cutting machinery and tools

- Competent at materials procurement

- Maintain tools and machinery in good shapes at all times

- Assist teachers in Makerspace lessons with teaching & technical support and resources

- Commitment to continuous improvement

- Commitment to student learning, wellbeing and safeguarding

- Experience within an international school setting (preferred)

- Fluent in English language written and oral communication
